Our comfortable bungalow is situated on a quiet crescent in Regina’s Normanview West subdivision. We provide a home for up to ten residents with varying levels of ability within our 3500 square feet of space. The home is wheelchair accessible, with widened doorways, widened hallways, special features in all 4 washrooms, and lowered bedroom windows from which people who are confined to wheelchair or bed can see. Our view from the rear of the house is of the prairie, which showcases all of our Saskatchewan seasons.
Helping Hands is beautifully yet comfortably decorated both inside and out. Our inside spaces provide bright, cheerful, pleasing décor in both of our two common areas; a more formal front sitting room as well as a warm, cozy family room with a fireplace. Our outside spaces provide spots to sit and visit or to participate in activities surrounded by lovely flowerbeds, bird feeders, and bird baths that entice local birds into the yard. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the outdoors in the summertime and have lunch on the deck or tea under the shade of the trees. During cooler fall evenings, enjoying a nice fire in the outdoor fireplace is a wonderful way to spend an hour or two.
Our goal is to blend into the community and provide supervision and personal care in a home setting that is as family-oriented and comfortable as possible. Drop by for a cup of coffee and a tour of our home to see for yourself that Helping Hands is truly a special place to live.
