Every client has individual needs. Helping Hands Bridging Program has a wide variety of assistance available to address all aspects of daily living to enable clients to remain as independent as they choose. We offer the following and can also consult with the client or family to create a personalized combination of these, or to add a service not listed:
Hourly Services
- home cleaning
- home organizing
- meal preparation and/or monitoring of nutrition intake
- meal planning: we can design a routine to ensure optimum nutrition for our clients
- personal care (assistance with dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, etc)
- specialized care (catheter care, ostomy care, simple dressing changes, assistance with physiotherapy programs, tube feeds, renal care)
- nursing care by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse as required
- palliative care, often in partnership with Regina
Quappelle Health District Palliative Home Care Nursing - respite for family or caregivers who need a daily or weekly break or are going on vacation- sitting with hospital patients to ensure they receive adequate care and attention while hospitalized: our staff can help with feeding patients, taking them for walks or wheelchair rides for a change of scenery, visit with them to prevent isolation and loneliness, and advocate for them to ensure that busy nursing staff provide patient care for them when required
- escort to medical and/or professional appointments
- escort to social or recreational outings
- escort to family events: weddings, funerals, family reunions, family gatherings, etc
- sitting or visiting with those who are shut-in, lonely, or in need of increased social contact with caring people
- packing and or making travel arrangements for vacations or trips away from home
- assistance with finding a new place of residence: we will help with property search, assist in the retention of
desired residence, and assist in the planning & packing for a move - errands assistance for grocery shopping, gift buying, or household purchases: we can escort the client or attend to the shopping for him or her

Task-Based Services
- assistance with taking medications as prescribed
- medications monitoring
- phone call reminders or scheduled checking in with clients
- pet care
- social and recreational activities calendar planning: our staff will custom-design a physically, cognitively, and emotionally stimulating calendar of outings, activities, and visits for each client, and accompany them on outings if desired
- coordination of health district services to enhance clients’ lives and access available programming
- assistance with procuring services outside the scope of Helping Hands caregivers: yard care, vehicle repair, hair stylist services, etc
- 24/7 on-call assistance for clients who may require periodic advice, reassurance, or caregiving
*task-based services are invoiced on a per-task basis and rates are individually determined
